Apple Wins $1 Billion iPod Antitrust Case

In a case that’s taken nearly a decade to conclude and could have cost tech giant Apple close to $1 billion, an Oakland jury found the company was not in violation of federal antitrust laws when an iTunes upgrade blocked a competitor’s software from playing on iPods or other devices. The lawsuit puts to rest the last of claims that were first filed in 2005.
