Giuliani Takes BigLaw Break To Stump For Trump

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani will take an “amicable and mutual leave of absence” from BigLaw firm Greenberg Traurig for the remainder of this year’s election cycle, according to chairman Richard Rosenbaum. After some reports painted the decision as one that Greenberg Traurig forcefully advocated, Giuliani hit back. “This is a voluntary action on my part that was contemplated for two weeks and was done with the full acceptance of the managing partner of the firm, Richard Rosenbaum, who happens to be a good friend of mine,” Giuliani told the Observer. “I’m coming back November 9 and if anybody had bothered to call anybody but some unnamed source, they’d have gotten the truth.” Giuliani joined the firm in January, and heads its cybersecurity and crisis management practice.
