Lawyer Opens Fire In Houston Rampage

An unidentified lawyer in Houston opened fire on commuters Monday, injuring nine before being fatally shot by police. “The motivation appears to be a lawyer whose relationship with his law firm went bad,” Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said. The shooting took place near an upscale shopping center. The suspect fired 20 to 30 shots, Reuters reports, and police were searching his car, which had numerous weapons in it.

Update (September 27, 2016): The shooter, identified as Nathan DeSai, is said to have been wearing military clothing and Nazi emblems at the time of the incident. He was carrying nearly 2,600 rounds of ammunition in his Porsche convertible. DeSai obtained the weapons legally.
