McKesson’s Recent Legal Hire Dealt With Cyber Attack

One year ago this June Robin Jacobsohn went to work for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. That was not long after a breach of OPM’s internal system had compromised the personal data of more than 21 million people. Much of her time until she joined McKesson Corp.’s legal department recently was spent dealing with the aftermath of that attack. Jacobsohn will head up McKesson’s litigation function, but her responsibilities will include IP, IT, employment and benefits. Her title will be senior vice president, associate general counsel. McKesson, a pharmaceuticals and health care delivery company, is often involved in product liability litigation, and Bloomberg reports that part of her role will be optimizing her use of in-house attorneys for tasks they can handle, and deciding when to bring in outside counsel.
