Patent Settlement Paves Way For Generic Viagra

A settlement in the patent lawsuit between drugmaker Mylan N.V. and Pfizer Inc. will allow a generic version of Viagra to be released in the U.S., once approved. The terms of the settlement have not been disclosed but, pending approval by the Justice Department and the FTC, Mylan said it hopes to launch Sildenafil Citrate by December 2017, and possibly earlier.
