Pennsylvania AG Guilty Of Perjury, Obstruction

Just four years after winning a landslide election to be the first Democrat and first woman named Pennsylvania’s Attorney General, Kathleen G. Kane was found guilty of perjury, and seven misdemeanor counts of abusing the powers of her office. Kane was accused of orchestrating a secret leak of grand jury documents to the press in order to spread information about former state prosecutor Frank Fina. Kane lied about her actions under oath. The jury deliberated more than four hours before announcing the verdict. Kane’s attorney said she would appeal, but she also announced her resignation.
