17 Percent Of EEOC Sexual Harassment Complainants Are Male

In a recent CNN poll, ten percent of men reported they had been victims of sexual harassment at work. The percentage of sexual harassment charges filed before the EEOC by men is even higher – 17 percent – a figure that has been consistent for years. Researchers have found that men are more often harassed by men than women, and according to an EEOC attorney advisor cited in this Washington Post article, it’s likely that workplace sexual harassment – in general underreported – is even more underreported by men, Most often, according to a professor who studies the issue, it’s a power trip involving “dominating and humiliating,”
