How are contract obligations affected in times of extreme uncertainty? Some companies, including some in the battered travel industry, may find that while their policies have no force majeure clause, they have an alternative in the doctrine of “frustration of contract.” Also potentially applicable in some policies: coverage under business interruption provisions.
