British Serious Fraud Office Pays Millions To Settle Mishandled Case

The British Serious Fraud Office agreed to pay about $5.1 million to a property developer after admitting that it mishandled evidence. In 2011, Vincent Tchenguiz and his brother were arrested and material seized from their offices by the SFO, but charges were never filed. The settlement ends the civil lawsuit filed by Vincent Tchenguiz, but legal action for Robert is ongoing.
