It’s a “paradigm shift” that will shine a light on the market, says the head of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. But critics say Wall Street lobbying took the bite out of the rules, leaving the market controlled by a handful of banks, distorting pricing and leaving the economy at risk. A banker group maintains even this compromise will impair liquidity and harm investors.
