With DOJ Hiring Freeze Over, More Work For Defense

Thanks to the budget President Obama signed in December, the Justice Department has announced it can resume hiring again after a three-year freeze. That’s good for the white collar defense business because it means more white-collar legal cases will be generated. It also means that more government work can once again be done by permanent staff rather than “specials,” federal lawyers brought in for temporary shifts, who may be less inclined to see a difficult investigation through to the end – again, meaning more work for defense.
