Eric Holder Rejoins Old Firm

Eric H. Holder will rejoin Covington & Burling as a partner, after spending the last several years serving as the U.S. Attorney General. Holder was at Covington from 2001 to February 2009, and before that served as Deputy Attorney General and U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia in the Clinton administration. The 64-year-old will return to practicing law with Covington in September, and will focus on complex investigations and litigation matters. In Holder’s view the post-financial crisis regulatory landscape is, “a new world for many clients. Any institution that doesn’t change its culture really puts itself at risk.”
