Former Law Dean Sues Over Sex Harassment Probe

Sujit Choudhry, former law dean for the University of California, Berkeley claims that the sexual harassment investigation that led to his ouster was racist. Choudhry says that when he faced allegations of improper conduct the school treated the situation more severely than in similar situations concerning white faculty members and administrators. Choudhry resigned his post in March amid outrage that he’d retain his position after claims of sexual harassment from his former executive assistant. His lawsuit names University of California regents as well as President Janet Napolitano, and seeks unspecified damages.
