Managing Partner And Wife Attacked By Husband Of Fired Lawyer

In a harrowing account, Leo Fisher and his wife Susan Duncan recounted an incident last year when a man forced his way into their home, interrogated them for hours, and then left after attempting, unsuccessfully, to kill them both. The man, who at first claimed to be an officer from the “Virginia SEC, turned, out to be Andrew Schmuhl, husband to Alecia Schmuhl, who had worked at Bean, Kinney & Korman, where Fisher was managing partner, until she was fired. Andrew Schmuhl interrogated the couple about the Knights Templar, forced Fisher to search through his work email for an unspecific exchange, and tasered, stabbed and shot at the couple repeatedly. Schmuhl only left when Duncan, having played dead after being stabbed, managed to reach an alarm on the wall.
