The Washington, D.C. office of Nixon Peabody is moving into a new space, and in what’s being characterized as a gesture of understanding and obeisance to millennials, the new digs will have no marble, no big desks and chairs, and no “corner office.” Corner space will be reserved for group meetings. All the offices – whether for senior partners, associates or paralegals – are said to be the same size. The move is being overseen by a 61-year-old managing partner who says that some of the senior partners were skeptical, but economic arguments won many of them over.
