Paul, Weiss Attorney Takes Lead On ‘Deflategate’

The NFL has turned to Ted Wells of Paul, Weiss to lead an investigation—along with NFL Executive Vice President Jeff Pash—into whether or not the New England Patriots knowingly used under-inflated footballs in their route of the Indianapolis Colts on the Jan. 18 AFC Championship game. Wells released a statement this week saying the investigation, which has already conducted more than 40 interviews, is likely to take weeks. Wells was also tapped by the NFL to lead the investigation into misconduct and possible harassment by members of the Miami Dolphins in a report released last year.
