SCOTUS Sinks To 18% Republican Approval Rate

The approval rating for the U.S. Supreme Court has sunk to a record low for Republicans, at just 18 percent, compared to a 76 percent approval rating among Democrats, according to the most recent Gallup poll. The difference is not surprising after the Supreme Court upheld President Obama’s Affordable Care Act – the defeat of which has been a central goal for Republicans for years – and also ensured that gay and lesbian Americans could be married in all 50 states. This poll marks the largest gap ever recorded between Republicans and Democrats in approval of the Supreme Court.
