TSA Fee For International Travelers Upheld By Court

A Washington appeals court ruled that the TSA may collect a $5.60 fee from foreign travelers with a connection in the United States. “We continue to believe TSA got this wrong and stand by our view that passengers should not be charged a TSA fee when they in fact very often don’t go through screening on their domestic leg of flights that originate outside of the U.S.,” Jean Medina, a spokeswoman for Airlines for America, said in an statement. The group is considering whether to appeal the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruling.
