Using Tech To Get Face Time With Distant Clients

Tools like Skype, Apple’s FaceTime and the Google Doc are all tools that can allow lawyers to work with clients in different cities, on different schedules, writes family law attorney Julie Tolek. She describes how in one case drafting a legal document using Google Docs which allowed all parties to make changes, while setting up an interactive video chat led to a simplified editing process and mutually acceptable final agreement. “Apps such as Skype, FaceTime, and Google Hangouts can really change how we communicate and open new doors for how business can be done,” Tolek writes.
