Vermont Attorney May Be Trump’s Nominee For NLRB GC

Bloomberg reports that Peter Robb, a management lawyer at Vermont – based Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC, is poised to become the National Labor Relations Board’s general counsel. The position is a powerful one, with authority to issue and dismiss unfair labor practice complaints, and bring cases before the board. If nominated and confirmed he would take over from Richard F. Griffin, whose four-year term ends in October. Robb has represented employers in labor cases before federal district and appellate courts and has appeared before the NLRB, the agency’s administrative law judges and regional directors. He handled several court proceedings and arbitrations against locals of the International Union of Elevator Constructors.
